A couple of weeks ago, I received in the mail this Hazel Dooney print. For free! Just for checking out her blog and giving her my address! Cool... What a fantastic way for people to see her work, and for the art world, so filled with the constant flow of cash, to really look at art for art's sake. Right?! It's also a brilliant marketing maneuver- sharing her art in this manner certainly will prompt me to check back with her to see what she's working on next... Well, that, and the fact that her work is amazing! Hazel Dooney seems like a savvy, strong person, which makes me like her art even more... I'm sure sending her art to people all over the planet has given access to people who don't usually have their fingers on the pulse of the art scene.
